How to use the tool

  1. Sign in with your email. You'll receive a 6-digit code by email each time.
  2. Pick a domain you want to practise. You can also filter by difficulty and provider type.
  3. For each question, read it, then click "Record answer" to record yourself saying your answer out loud.
  4. Click Stop when finished. Listen back to your recording.
  5. Click "Show answer" to reveal the model answer and the self-check list.
  6. Tick off the points your answer covered. The counter shows how many of the key points you addressed.
  7. Click "Next question" to move on.

Why record yourself

CQC interviews are spoken. The gap between knowing an answer and saying it under pressure is significant. Recording yourself reveals hesitation, missed regulatory citations, and pacing issues that reading model answers silently never will. The discomfort of listening to yourself is the value.

Where does my recording go?

Nowhere. Recordings stay in your browser's memory only. We never upload them. We never store them. When you click Next question or refresh the page, the recording is gone permanently. This is deliberate. Audio recordings of practice sessions are sensitive content, and we've designed the tool so you can practise honestly without worrying about an artifact being kept.

Microphone permission denied

If you accidentally clicked Block or Deny when the browser asked for microphone access, you'll need to enable it again in your browser settings. In Chrome: click the lock icon next to the URL bar, set Microphone to Allow, then refresh the page. In Safari: Settings → Websites → Microphone, find this site, set to Allow.

Skip recording option

If you just want to browse questions and read model answers without recording, click the "Skip recording (just read the answer)" link. The model answer will reveal without requiring a recording. This is useful for content review, but the recording flow is what builds real interview readiness.
